What Are Nogier Frequencies?

Nogier Frequencies are a specific set of frequencies used in vibrational healing and energy-based therapy. To understand how Nogier Frequencies work—and how LED light therapy and photobiomodulation (PBM) apply them—it helps to understand a few foundational concepts. For a deeper discussion of vibrational energy, please see our blog.

All matter is composed of atoms that are in a constant state of vibration—from animals and plants to inanimate objects and people. Every object and biological system vibrates at its own frequency, defined as a rate of vibration measured in cycles per second, expressed as Hertz (Hz).

Within the human and animal body, healthy tissues and systems each have characteristic healthy frequencies. When those systems move away from their optimal frequency patterns, dysfunction or illness may occur.

Vibrational healing works by introducing specific frequencies that correspond to healthy tissue states. A commonly used analogy is tuning forks: when one tuning fork is struck and vibrates at a specific pitch, a nearby tuning fork of the same pitch begins vibrating as well. In a similar way, biological systems can recognize and respond to externally supplied frequencies, resonating toward a healthier state.

The Origin of the Nogier Frequencies

Nogier Frequencies were discovered and developed in the 1970s by Dr. Paul Nogier, a neurosurgeon and scientist. Through experimental observation, Dr. Nogier identified specific resonant frequencies associated with healthy tissue. These frequencies are harmonics of the musical note D.

There are seven medically recognized Nogier Frequencies, each associated with specific biological effects. These frequencies are recognized by the body for both detection and therapeutic applications and are commonly identified using both alphabetical labels (A–G) and numerical frequency values (Hz).

How Does LED Light Therapy Use Nogier Frequencies?

LED light therapy, also known as photobiomodulation (PBM), delivers light energy to the body using specific wavelengths and output patterns. LED light therapy can be delivered in two primary ways:

  • Continuous Wave (CW) light therapy, which delivers a steady, uninterrupted light output

  • Pulsed light therapy, which delivers light in rhythmic bursts

By combining photobiomodulation with Nogier Frequencies, LED light therapy provides both optical energy and frequency-based input. This combined approach is designed to support pain relief, circulation, inflammation reduction, and cellular repair.

According to Dr. Nogier’s research, illness may result when cells, molecules, or tissues move out of their normal resonance patterns. Repeated exposure to frequencies associated with healthy tissue can help restore functional balance, sometimes producing noticeable effects in a relatively short time.

In general:

  • Lower Nogier Frequencies are associated with cellular growth and regeneration

  • Higher Nogier Frequencies are associated with sedation, pain relief, and inflammation reduction

Using Multiple Nogier Frequencies

Nogier Frequency effects can be enhanced by using multiple frequencies sequentially, especially during localized applications. Common frequency groupings include:

  • Pain support: E, F, G

  • Tissue regeneration: A, B, F

  • Soft tissue and muscle: C, D, G

Visum Light Hand-Held Pre-Programmed Patterns (P1–P7)

The Visum Light has determined the following combinations for our pre-programmed patterns:

  • P1 – 10 Hz (not a Nogier frequency)
  • P2 – 40 Hz (not a Nogier frequency)
  • P2 – Lymph: cycles through B – D – G
  • P3 – PAIN: cycles through F – G – E
  • P4 – Anxiety: cycles through C – D – G
  • P5 – Skin: cycles through A – B – F
  • P6 – Energy: cycles through A – G
  • P7 – Brain: cycles through 40 Hz, F – G
  •

Visum Light Flex Pad Pre-Programmed Patterns (P1–P7)

The Visum Light Flex pads Pre-Programmed patterns are as follows:

  • P1 – Nerve: cycles through A – E – G
  • P2 – Lymph: cycles through B – D – G
  • P3 – PAIN: cycles through F – G – E
  • P4 – Anxiety: cycles through C – D – G
  • P5 – Skin: cycles through A – B – F
  • P6 – Energy: cycles through A – G
  • P7 – Brain: 40 Hz

Nogier Frequencies are commonly used alongside LED light therapy and photobiomodulation to support a wide range of everyday wellness applications. When delivered through continuous or pulsed light therapy, these frequencies provide an added layer of rhythmic stimulation that complements wavelength-based photobiomodulation.

Common Wellness Applications

Pain and Recovery Support
Nogier Frequencies are frequently used during LED light therapy sessions for general pain support, muscle recovery, and post-activity discomfort. Pulsed light therapy combined with frequencies such as E, F, and G is often selected for areas experiencing tension, stiffness, or overuse.

Skin Health and Tissue Support
Blue, red, and near-infrared LED light therapy is widely used for skin wellness and tissue support. When paired with Nogier Frequencies A, B, and F, users often incorporate light sessions into routines supporting skin appearance, scar care, and overall tissue vitality.

Inflammation and Circulation Support
Photobiomodulation is known for its ability to support circulation and cellular energy production. Nogier Frequencies are commonly layered into LED light therapy sessions aimed at calming irritated tissues and encouraging balanced inflammatory responses.

Stress, Relaxation, and Daily Wellness
Lower-intensity LED light therapy combined with pulsed frequencies such as C, D, and G is often used as part of relaxation routines. These sessions are popular before rest, after stressful days, or as part of a general wellness practice.

Mobility and Joint Comfort
For individuals and animals alike, photobiomodulation with LED light therapy is frequently applied to joints and connective tissue. Nogier Frequencies are often selected to complement color-based light sessions for mobility support and comfort.

Animal and Pet Applications

Nogier Frequencies are also commonly incorporated into LED light therapy sessions for animals. Practical uses include:

  • General mobility and comfort support for aging pets

  • Post-exercise recovery for performance animals

  • Relaxation and calming routines for anxious or stressed animals

  • Support for skin, coat, and soft tissue wellness

Sessions for animals typically use shorter durations and lower intensity, following the same photobiomodulation principles used for people.

Flexible Use with Pre-Programmed Patterns

The Visum Light simplifies practical use by offering pre-programmed patterns that cycle specific Nogier Frequencies in combination with pulsed LED light therapy. These patterns allow users to apply photobiomodulation without needing to manually select individual frequencies, making consistent daily use easier at home, in clinics, or in animal care settings.
